This amazing Sevres 19th century dessert service is in mint condition and dates to 1846 yet it has an almost contemporary look. The detailed scrolling and polychrome enamel decoration is highlighted and trimmed in gold and the set consists of 12 dessert plates, two tall footed compotes and two low footed compotes, comprising a lovely 16 piece set. Each piece is fully decorated on the borders and finished with a gold central medallion. The naturalistic borders and shaped rims and lobed compotes create an elegant service, perfect for display or a magnificent table setting.
Rare and complete, this is a museum worthy service in excellent condition.
