Moser "Aesthetic Movement" Enameled 3 Handled Vase Ca.1890's

Moser "Aesthetic Movement" Enameled 3 Handled Vase Ca.1890's

This is a wonderful example of glass, blown in the "Aesthetic Movement" style. The rich "French Blue" is embellished with different decorative motifs in hand painted polychrome enamel work, including grasshoppers, beetles, flowers and fauna. The three applied handles encircle the body in a random fashion and the foot and neck are decorated in gold and raised enamel "jewels". The focal point is the pink medallion with a large beetle in the "Japonesque" taste. Ca. 1890's
