Pair of signed Degué Pink Vases

Pair of signed Degué Pink Vases
David ‘Degué’ Guereon founded a factory in Compiègne, France, as well as a showroom in Paris in 1926 where he produced mainly Art Deco luxury vases, lamps, chandeliers and table lamps, often having thick moulded glass that was richly colored. Degué closed his shop at the onset of World War II but the factory in Compiègne still stands. Although it is now a business selling tiles and doorframes, the glass furnaces remain as they were with glass still melted on their walls. This lovely pair of pink vases are bright and beautiful, with internal bubbles throughout. Although there is a very slight variation in color and height, they work well as a pair but can also be purchased separately. The vases are quite heavy and would make excellent lamp bases. The pink vase measures 14 3/4" while the rose measures 14 1/2". ca. 1920's
